Polana Jakuszycka

The main cross-country skiing center in the region.

Polana Jakuszycka is located in Szklarska Poręba - Jakuszyce, in the Izera Mountains, on the Polish-Czech border. We can get here by car or bus by road number 3 from the side of Jelenia Góra (approx. 27 km), Szklarska Poręba (approx. 8.5 km) or from Świeradów (approx. 27 km) and by a railway line from Jelenia Góra through Piechowice and Szklarska Poręba.


Polana Jakuszycka is the main center of cross-country skiing in our region, we have about 100 km of cross-country trails of varying difficulty at our disposal. There are ideal weather conditions here, thanks to which we can enjoy the thick snow cover until spring, and in the summer season the routes are perfect for cycling or hiking trips into the Jizera Mountains. Every year, the Piast Race is held here - the largest ski run in Poland, attended by thousands of cross-country skiing fans - both amateurs and professionals. In 2014, the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup was also held here. There is a biathlon shooting range next to the center, where biathlon competitions are organized and many youth schools train.


There are several hotels in the vicinity of Polana Jakuszycka, a petrol station, a railway station, bus stops, restaurants and bars serving hot meals. There are also car parks for passenger cars and buses, but it should be remembered that due to the location, the number of parking spaces is limited.
There are several shops, ski rentals and services where we can stock up on all the equipment needed for cross-country skiing. At the beginning of the skiing adventure, we can also take advantage of the professional help of the instructors present on the spot.


The largest car park within Polana Jakuszycka is located at the Jakuszyce station. Price of leaving the car for the whole day - PLN 15.
